Four shapes of work.

MVPs in 30–90 days. Modernizations that actually ship. Founding-CTO implementations. Strategic advisory when the decision matters most. Twenty years of product, technology, and founder experience behind every one.

What you get when you hire me is twenty years of product, technology, and founder experience consolidated into a single engagement. I'm the person who knows your business and the person who ships the code — designs it, architects it, delivers it, maintains it. Faster decisions because the same person is making them. Fewer translations because nothing has to be relayed. Full accountability, because there's nowhere for it to go.

For larger efforts, I draw on a deep network of specialists I've worked with for years (designers, mobile engineers, DevOps, data), assembled around what the work actually needs. I stay accountable for the whole.

§ 02.2

What I
offer

Engagements typically fall into one of these shapes. If yours doesn't fit, get in touch. We'll figure out the right structure.

  1. I.

    Product MVPs

    30 to 90 days

You have a real bet you want to test, and the timeline to a working product feels impossible.

I ship MVPs in 30 to 90 days. Period. Strategy, design, build, launch. I stay through your first paying customers.

Recent: an iOS weather companion, a public-lands camping app, a creator-finance platform. Each one shipped to first paying users inside 90 days.

  2. II.

    Modernizations & rescues

    Untangle · Stabilize · Ship

Legacy systems that hold you back.

Original engineers gone. Rewrites stalled. Every new initiative depends on the system that keeps breaking. I find what matters, cut what doesn't, and ship the change that unblocks you. From there, we keep building.

Recent: an oilfield services rewrite shipped in eight months after two years adrift.

  3. III.

    Founding CTO implementation

    Co-founder to handoff

    You're building a software business and you don't have a technical co-founder.

I do the founding-CTO work (architecture, the first product, the team that takes it from there, the processes that survive me), then transition out cleanly. A defined engagement with a real exit, not an open-ended retainer.

Best fit: founders building software businesses who don't want to spend a year hiring the technical co-founder they should have started with.

  4. IV.

    Strategic technical advisory

    Audit · Decide · Recommend

You have a decision your business depends on and no senior person outside the org to think it through with.

Build vs. buy, vendor evaluation, technical due diligence, an honest second opinion before you sign. Shape and timeline fit the decision: from a single conversation to a deeper engagement.

Recent: a vendor evaluation, a pre-acquisition technical read, a build-vs-buy call before a major investment.

§ 02.3

Industries
where I bring context

Three sectors where I've shipped enough work that the discovery phase moves fast (though I take projects outside these regularly).

i.

Agriculture

Operations software, IoT, monitoring. Field-data pipelines, equipment tracking, harvest scheduling.

ii.

Energy

Field operations, asset tracking, compliance. Tools that survive losing cell service.

iii.

Construction tech

Estimating, project management, lead generation. Localized pricing across hundreds of cities.

The depth lives here, but I take projects in adjacent industries regularly. If yours isn't on this list, that's not a reason to skip the conversation.
